Federal Board of Intermediate & Secondary Education Islamabad is an important educational board of Pakistan which has the responsibility to conduct annual and supply exams of matric and intermediate classes in Federal Capital Islamabad, tribal areas and cantonment areas all over Pakistan. Apart from that, the overseas Pakistanis can also take part in the matriculate and intermediate exams through FBISE. Like other boards of Pakistan, FBISE also organizes the SSC and HSSC annual exams according to a schedule. 9th and 10th class annual exams are held in March and April while 11th and 12th class exams are organized in May and June every year while written and practical papers are held separately. All the schools and colleges in Islamabad and other above mentioned areas are affiliated with Federal Board while thousands of regular and private students participate in the annual and supply exams of matric and intermediate classes under Federal Board every year.

FBISE issues the results of 9th and 10th class annual exams in the month of June or July while the 11th and 12th annual exams results are declared by the board in August or September every year. The matric and inter class students of Federal Board can view their complete results soon after the result announcement at the official site of the board while they also receive their result cards at their addresses just few days after the result announcement.

Soon after annual exams, supply exams also known as improvement exam or 2nd annual are conducted by the Federal Board for the unsuccessful students. Supply exams results are announced by FBISE just one or two months after the exams while the student can view their detailed results soon after the supply exams result announcement at the official site of Federal Board.
